The Inca Jungle Trek is an unbelievable 3 day alternative tour where you can evolve your experience in adventure sports such as rafting, trekking, biking and zip lining. It also includes some recently discovered Inca paths with archaeological remains, the expansive and towering Abra Malaga Mountain, the deep green valley and the vibrant jungle basin of Santa Maria. The Inca Jungle Trek uses A-1 equipment and the groups are small creating an intimate experience with the natural terrain of Peru.

Briefing between 5pm - 7pm the evening before the trip in our office, explaining all tour details from our guide.



After breakfast, we will travelling through picturesque villages and beautiful landscapes until reaching the Abra Malaga Mountain(4350 m.a.s.l.). We will depart, descending on top scale mountain bikes for 3 hours going though rural villages, rivers, orchards and streams reaching the Huamanmarca where if we want we can buy water and snacks to finally reach the town of huyro where we will enjoy our exquisite lunch once our lunch is over our private bus will take the group to Santa María,place where we will start the rafting part once the rafting is finished, the group will be transported to the town of Santa Teresa, overnight in Santa Teresa.

Schedules day 1:

  • 05:40 - 06:15 Pick up each passengers from their respective hotels around of the historic center of cusco.
  • 06:15 - 06:30 Pick up the biking equipment for the first activity.
  • 06:30 - 08:30 We started the tour by private bus from Cusco to Ollantaytambo.
  • 08:30 - 09:00 Breakfast in ollantaytambo.
  • 09:00 - 10:00 From ollantaytambo to abra malaga mountain.
  • 10:00 - 13:00 Starting the Down hill in bikking from abra malaga by the Quillabamba way (on the paved road) to Huamanmarka.
  • 13:00 - 13:30 Transfer in bus from huamanmarka to santa maria.
  • 13:30 - 14:00 Lunch in santa maria.
  • 14:00 - 16:30 Rafting activity in Vilcanota river (urubamba).
  • 16:30 - 17:00 Transfer from the rafting camp at the beginning of the path to the eco lodge house.
  • 17:00 - 18:00 Trekking to the eco lodge house where we will have a rest for the first day.
  • 18:00 - 19:00 Free time for accommodate, to have a rest and enjoy de magnificent sunset in the eco lodge house.
  • 19:00 - 19:30 Dinner and calling the night for the first day in the eco lodge house ( chosa house).

After we begin the day with a good breakfast, we will continue exploring the roads less travelled. We will start at the town of Santa Teresa. The passengers that reserved in advance will go ziplining (later they will be taken by bus to the hydroelectric), the rest of the group will continue hiking for approx. 3 hr. until reaching the hydroelectric too, where the whole group will gather. Here we will have a great lunch. After a break, the journey will continue along the path for 3 hr., going through waterfalls, coca and coffee farms until arriving at the town of Aguas Calientes. The group will be taken to the hostel around 4 pm. At night we will all get together in a restaurant to have a great dinner and have a briefing about the trek to Machu Picchu.

Schedules day 2:

  • 08:00 - 08:30 Breakfast.
  • 08:30 - 09:30 Explanation of the different natural products found in this area and production of 100% natural coffee in the area.
  • 09:30 - 13:00 Hike to the huamcarcansa mountain, use of a small portion of the Inca trail in which to explain the functions, discovery and part of the history of the Incas to finally descend towards Quellomayo.
  • 13:00 - 13:30 Lunch in quellomayo.
  • 13:30 - 14:30 A little nap to regain energy before walking again.
  • 14:30 - 17:00 Walk to the hot springs (Cocalmayo) by the edge of the Vilcanota river.
  • 17:00 - 19:00 Having a break time in aguas termales.
  • 19:00 - 19:15 Transfer from the Hot Spring to Santa Teresa Town, where we will spend the second night.
  • 19:15 - 20:00 Lodging in Santa Teresa town.
  • 20:00 - 20:30 Dinner and having a rest in Santa Teresa.

Day 3: Aguas Calientes - Citadela Inca of Machu Picchu - Cusco

This time we will get up around 4:00am to have breakfast and leave at 4:30am, heading toward the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu, walking approximately 1 hour and a half. The goal is to see the sunrise from the Inca site and be the first to arrive. Then we will take in the beautiful Machu Picchu with our professional guide, finishing the tour with some free time for you to explore. After visiting Machu Picchu, at about 11:00am we return by walking (2 hours) to the Hydroelectric where our bus (15:00pm) waits to return to the city of Cusco, arriving around 9:00pm.

Note: There is possibility to spend one more night in Machu Picchu town paying $30 extra, and return next day.

Schedules day 3:

  • 04:00 - 04:20 Get up early to start our last visit to the Imperail City of the Incas.
  • 04:20 - 06:00 Start Trekking to see the spectacular sunrise in the citadel of Machu Picchu.
  • 06:00 - 08:30 Our group will have a private guided tour in the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu.
  • 08:30 - 12:00 Free time to enjoy Machu Picchu on their own (Passengers who booked for an additional, can climb to the Mountain or Huayna Picchu at 9am – 10am with the second group).
  • 12:00 - 12:30 The group will descend walking to Aguas Calientes.
  • 12:30 - 15:40 Free time in Aguas Calientes .
  • 15:40 - 16:00 Walk to the train station for the departure time to Ollantaytambo.
  • 16:00 - 17:40 Returning from Aguas Calientes by train to Ollantaytambo (depending on the departure of your train).
  • 17:55 - 20:00 transfer from ollantaytambo station by private bus to the Plaza San Francisco in CUSCO where it will be the bus last stop (the arriving time will be depending the traffic in cusco).
