The Inca Jungle Trek is an unbelievable 3 day alternative tour where you can envolve your experience in adventure and sports such as Biking Downhill, in the impresive Abra Malaga Mountain with an gorgeus view during the down hill, and as an optional you can add and enjoy Rafting in the Urubamba River in Santa Maria area. and Zip line in Santa Teresa. It also includes some recently discovered Inca paths with archaeological remains, the deep green valley and the vibrant jungle basin of Santa Maria. The Inca Jungle Trek uses A-1 equipment and profetionals instructors in each activities and the groups are small creating an intimate experience with the natural terrain of Peru.

ITINERARY

Day 1: CUSCO - SANTA TERESA(BIKING AND RAFTING)

The guide will pick you up at your hostel in Cusco, after breakfast in Ollantaytambo we will travel by bus to the highest place of the trip ABRA MALAGA 4350 meters over the sea level, next to the snow mountain VERONICA to do downhill in bikes to SANTA MARIA 2250 meters over the sea level, finishing this activity we are ready to have a delicious typical lunch. After a break, we are ready to continue the adventure doing rafting level tree, not too dangerous but not too boring, perfect to have fun and finish the day in a comfortable hostel in Santa Teresa one hour driving from the rafting side.

Day 2: SANTA TERESA – AGUAS CALIENTES(ZIPLINE AND HIKING)

The next morning, after a good breakfast, we will head to zip lining base. Here, we will experience a flow of adrenaline with six cables of 800meters long aprox each one, getting a maximum speed of 80km/h, then we cross a suspension bridge, and do some light rock climbing to finish. After this activity, the bus will take us to Hydroelectric where we will enjoy our lunch.. We can relax here for a while, then continue onto the route toward Aguas Calientes. We will walk for about 3 hours and along this flat path you will find beautiful waterfalls, different wildlife, next to the beautiful Urubamba river. Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes, we will get together in a local restaurant to enjoy a great dinner and have a briefing about our next excursion to Machu Picchu. After dinner, you are free to explore the city of Aguas Calientes.

Day 3: AGUAS CALIENTES - MACHU PICCHU – CUSCO

The group will get up early to go to Machu Picchu, following an ascending route through the high forest, we could have the chance to see the sunrise in the ruins. The guide will show us the Machupicchu sanctuary for 2 hrs. aprox. Later the group will be free to enjoy Machu Picchu by themselves. We return by walking (3.5 hours) to Hydroelectric where our bus in waiting for us until 3:00pm to take us to the Cusco city, arriving around 10:00pm. Note: There is possibility to spend one more night in Machu Picchu town paying $30 extra, and return next day(if you want to climbing Huayna picchu or Mountain Machu Picchu) it is a good idea.
