Day 1: Arrival in Lima
One of our representatives will be at the airport arrivals gate waiting for you. You receive to small briefing to plan your Unique Inca Trail. In the Airport in Cusco another representative of Conde Travel waiting for you.
Day 2: Lima Traditional City Tour
Your guide and private transportation will wait for you at your hotel. We will start the tour with visiting San Martin Plaza and Jiron de la Union which is a fascinating boulevard that leads to the Plaza de Armas, the main plaza. Next is the Monastery of San Francisco, a World Heritage Site. This monastery is renowned for its Spanish Baroque architecture .The first cemetery of Lima –the Catacombs- is hidden underneath these monastery floors. You will then be taken to a gorgeous seaside restaurant where you will taste the best of Peruvian Cuisine. After lunch, our driver will take you to your hotel where you will have the rest of the day at your leisure.
Day 3: Private Journey to Paracas & Flight over The Nazca Lines
In the morning, our private transportation will pick you up from the hotel and drive us to Paracas. Once you arrive to Paracas, Machu Travel Peru staff will welcome and transfer you to Pisco Airport, from where we are going to take a 30 minute flight over the incredible Nazca Lines. During this flight over the Nazca Lines, we will be able to see the most fascinating figures such as: the monkey, hummingbird, tree, parrot, astronaut, dog, condor and others. After our flight, we will have enough time to have lunch before being taken back to the hotel in Paracas. You will then have the rest of the day to spend at your leisure.
Day 4: Ballestas Islands and Huacachina Tour & Back to Lima
In the morning, our private transportation will pick you up from the hotel and drive us to Chaco Harbor in Paracas. Here, we will begin a remarkable boat trip to the Ballestas Islands, three small islands filled with animals just a few minutes from the coast. On the journey to the islands, we will be able to see the “Candelabro”, a giant hieroglyph in the shape of a candleholder. When we arrive to the Ballestas Islands, we will stay on the boat while observing the frenzy of amazing animals including noisy but playful furred seals and sea lions, as well as a huge number of sea birds including, Humbolt penguins, pelicans, tendrils, Inca terns, Peruvian boobys, red legged cormorants and guanays. After our tour of the islands, we will have lunch before we drive to Ica where we will visit the beautiful Huacachina Oasis. Lined with palm trees, the blue-green oasis is surrounded by sand dunes on which you can have a wild, unforgettable sand buggy ride and sand-boarding adventure. After this adventure in the Peruvian desert, our private transportation will take us back to Lima where you will stay in a hotel for the night.
Day 5: Arrival to Cusco & Sacred Valley Tour
An amazing tour awaits us. Today, after breakfast, a Machu Travel Peru staff member will pick you up from the hotel and escort you to Lima International Airport where you will take a flight to Cusco. This flight will only take one hour and ten minutes. Upon arrival, we will start our excursion through the Sacred Valleyof the Incas. First, we will stop at the exceptional project of Awanakancha (quechua word that means “big place where people weave”). The people here still follow their ancestors’ techniques for transforming the fur of the South American camelids into clothes. Pisac will be our next visit. This archeological site boasts a great Incan complex of magnificent terraced fields on the mountains. We will then visit Pisac’s traditional market which is famous for its beautiful handicrafts.After visiting this site, we will enjoy a delicious lunch in a pleasant restaurant.Finally, we will arrive to an area of stunning natural beauty where your hotel for the night is located.
Day 6: Ollantaytambo - Maras - Moray
First of all, you will have a delicious breakfast in your hotel. Then, our tour guide and private transportation will pick you up to start our private tour of Ollantaytambo. It was a fortress and a complex city and many question have been raised throughout history regarding the construction of this ancient site. One of the most interesting attractions at this site is the Gateway of the Gods which was build several thousand years before the Incas, a marvel of engineering and architecture. After, we will travel to Urubamba which was one of the major agricultural centers of the Incan Empire and is one of the most beautiful towns of the Sacred Valley after We will have a nice buffet lunch.Then, we will visit the salt pans, located northwest of the town of Maras. Here, we will find around 2000 small wells that local people still use today to provide themselves with salt. We will then drive to explore the enigmatic circular terraces of Moray which were used as a type of Incan laboratory to acclimatize their crops. Finally, you will be escorted to your hotel which is surrounded by some of the most spectacular scenery in the Sacred Valley.
Day 7: Rainbow Mountain
We will pick you up from your hotel at 3:00am and head south through the town of Urco to the Cecacupe District (2 hours by bus) and then follow the path to Piturmata. We continue along the road through small villages until we arrive to the community of Hanchipata - Quesuno (1 hour and 20 minutes by bus), the ideal starting point to walk the route. We will see many mountains such as Ausangate, beautiful blue lagoons, and many other natural sites. The walk to Vinicunca (Rainbow Mountain) will last approximately 3 hours. At this peak we will savor the view for about an hour taking photos of the beautiful scenery before descending the path and returning to our bus. It will take 2.5 hours to transport back to Cusco.
Day 8: Jouney to Aguas Calientes & Machu Picchu Tour
Early in the morning, our private transportation will meet you at the hotel in order to drive us to Ollantaytambo Train Station. From here, we will take a spectacularly scenic, one and a half hour train journey to Aguas Calientes. Once we arrive to Aguas Calientes, we will board a bus to Machu Picchu. The bus journey takes around 25 minutes and follows a zigzagging road with nice views up the mountain.In Machu Picchu, our private guided tour around the sacred will last around 2 hours. We will explore the mysteries and magic of the sacred citadel by visiting the Main Plaza, the Circular Tower, the Sacred Sundial, the Royal Quarters, the Temple of Three Windows and various other temples and cemeteries.We will then have a delightful lunch in a unique restaurant close to the citadel, Tinkuy by Sanctuary Lodge.Finally, we will go back to the town of Aguas Calientes by bus where we will stay for the night in a nice hotel.
Day 9: Aguas Calientes - Cusco
you will have a leisure morning to relax or explore one of 7th Wonders of the World on your own. Climbing the Wayna Picchu Mountain or reaching the Sun Gate would be excellent options.In the afternoon, we will have lunch in a restaurant close to the train station.After lunch, you will take a train back to Ollantaytamboor Poroy where our staff will be waiting to escort you to your hotel in the city of Cusco.
Day 10:Cusco Farewell
Depending on the time your flight departs Cusco; our staff will pick you up and escort you to the airport in by private transportation. Once you arrive to the airport, our program will conclude.
