Itinerary

ITINERARY


Day 1: Cusco Arrival

After getting picked up from the Cusco airport or your hotel, you will be transferred to our lounge where you will rest in the morning before taking a 4 hour tour of the city at 1:30pm. You will be guided through the Convent of Santo Domingo and then move on to the archeological sites located just outside the city of Cusco such as Sacsayhuaman, Q’enqo, Pukapukara, and Tambomachay. We will transfer you back to your hotel in the evening.



Day 2: Sacred Valley (B)

We will pick you up in your hotel at 8:45am. First stop is the Sacred Valley of the Incas routing via P'isaq, the colonial town. We will find the indigenous and traditional market, where you will be able to purchase hand crafted goods and souvenirs. After exploring town we then head towards the P'isaq Ruins that are beautifully carved into the highest mountains. Then we continue the journey and appreciate the picturesque villages Calca and Urubamba where we will enjoy a buffet lunch with traditional stews. In the afternoon we will visit the village of Ollantaytambo and the Inca Archaeological site of Ollantaytambo, unique in South America for its originality,and in the fact that it has been inhabited since 500 years ago...Returning to Cusco we will go through Chinchero, one of the most interesting place of the Andes bearing plateaus of multicolored crop fields, the chain of snow peaks of the Valle and a beautiful sunset ... We will also visit the colonial church that lies on an Inca palace and the site museum appreciating Andean dress and then head back to Cusco, arriving about 7pm.



Day 3: Machu Picchu (B)

The group will get up early to go to Machu Picchu, following an ascending route through the high forest, we could have the chance to see the sunrise. The guide will show us the sanctuary for 2 hrs. aprox. Later the group will be free to enjoy Machu Picchu by its own. We return by walking (2 hours)Aguas Calientes to Hydroelectric where our bus (3 pm) waits to return to the city of Cusco, arriving around 9:00pm. Note: There is possibility to spend one more night in Machu Picchu town paying $30 extra, and return next day(if you want to climbing Huayna picchu or Mountain Machu Picchu).

Day 4: Cusco Departure (Optional) (B)

You can enjoy breakfast at your hotel before a driver transports you to the airport for your departing flight or bus station as you head to your next destination.
